Help Shape the Future of Tourism in Marine City!

The Marine City Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to partner with Michigan State University Extension and the City of Marine City on the First Impressions Tourism (FIT) 2.0 Assessment. This initiative gives visitors the opportunity to share their first impressions of Marine City and helps us better understand what we're doing well—and where we can continue to improve.

As you explore our downtown, you'll notice signs displaying a QR code in local businesses and throughout the community. We encourage visitors to simply scan the code and complete a short survey about their experience in Marine City.

The survey asks about many aspects of a visitor's experience, including:

  • What brought them to Marine City

  • Their overall first impressions

  • The friendliness of our community and customer service

  • Cleanliness and safety

  • Restaurants, shopping, and accommodations

  • Wayfinding and directional signage

  • The unique attractions and experiences that make Marine City special

Participants are also invited to share what they enjoyed most and what would encourage them to return for another visit.

The information gathered through this survey is invaluable. It will help the Chamber, the City of Marine City, local businesses, and community partners make informed decisions that strengthen tourism, support our local economy, and enhance the visitor experience for years to come.

We invite everyone to help spread the word by encouraging friends, family, and visitors to complete the survey during their visit. Every response helps us continue building an even better Marine City.

Thank you for helping us showcase all that makes Marine City a wonderful place to visit, shop, dine, and explore!
