Marine City takes pride in our beautiful parks, many of which line the St. Clair River.  Take in views of the many freighters that frequent the river, enjoy a picnic, pick up a volleyball game, or just kick back on a sunny day in these beautifully maintained and landscaped parks.

Heritage Square: Historic City Hall building, band stand, paved & barrier-free walkway. Site of outdoor weddings and social events.

Marine City Public Beach: North end of Water Street. Swimming beach, barrier-free sidewalk, bathrooms, spring toys, picnic tables, barbecue grills, shady grassy areas. Open from the last day of school until the first day of school, 7 days, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Closed during inclement weather.

Broadway Park: Water Street at foot of Broadway. Paved & lit barrier-free walkway, benches, fishing allowed, battleship gun deck on display.

Waterworks Park: Water Street at foot of Jefferson. Veteran's and Firemen's Memorials.  Paved & lit barrier-free walkway, picnic table, coin operated long range binocular for sightseeing.

Lighthouse Park: Water Street at foot of Washington.  Peche Island Lighthouse, sand volleyball court, paved & lit barrier-free walkway.

Guy Center: Water Street between Lighthouse Park and River Park.  Community Center; currently being used as temporary city offices. Grounds connect to both adjacent parks.

Civic Women's Club River Park: Water Street south of Guy Center. Paved & lit barrier-free walkway, garden, benches.

Corwin M. Drake Memorial Park: Water Street between St. Clair and Union.  Outdoor amphitheater, ship's anchor on display, paved & barrier-free walkway.

Nautical Mile Park: Water Street at foot of Union Street. Fishing allowed, benches, ship's propeller on display, paved & barrier-free walkway.  Site of several annual events.

Mini-Park: S. Main Street at Washington Street.  Playground, bench.

Ward Cottrell Park: Ward Street west of Parker Street.  Shared city/schools use.  Football field, running track for school use.  Tennis courts, softball field, Little League baseball field.

King Road Park: King Road north of Chartier Street.  Twenty seven acres; softball field, baseball field, basketball court, water fountain, picnic grove with table and grills, restrooms (one is barrier-free), playground, sledding hill, ice rink (seasonal).

Algonac State Park: 8732 River Road.  Six miles south of the city on M-29.  1500 acres, 1/2 mile river frontage.  Lake plain prairies, oak savannas.  Year-round camping, explorer program, fishing, hunting, playground, picnic areas, shooting/archery ranges, hiking, cross country skiing.  Admission charged.
