February 6:  Fireman's Ball, Knights of Columbus Hall, King Rd. 6:00-Midnight.  A great evening of dinner and dancing.  Includes live entertainment. $25 in advance, $30 at door. (810)765-8840  More Info

February 13:  Ice Skating Derby King Road Ice Rink (outdoors). Register at 11:00, begins at 12:00  Contest, refreshments, prizes. FREE  Sponsored by Marine City Parks and Rec & Marine City Fire Department.  810-765-8830

February 13-14:  Free Fishing Weekend, sponsored by the department of natural resources.  All fees waived for two days on all inland and Great Lake waterways.  Michigan.gov/dnr

June- August: Concert Series at Drake Park Amphitheater, Water Street. First and third Saturdays each month, 6:00-8:00 p.m. FREE 810-765-4501.

August 13-15: Antique & Yard Sale Trail, sales galore- antique shops and home owners pull out the stops all along M-29 from Algonac to Port Austin

August 15: 24th Annual Maritime Concert at historic Holy Cross Catholic Church, 7:30 p.m. Harpist Laura Palmieri; Daniel Susan on the church's magnificent 1861 Hook Tracker organ. Inspirational!  610 S. Water St. 810-765-3568

November 28- January 1:  Marine City Maritime Christmas, includes light displays, business decorating contest and many special events hosted by shops, restaurants, businesses & civic groups.

December 4-5:  Christmas Winter Wonderland, large lighted displays, Santa, bonfire, more. 6-8:30 p.m. 5895 Markel Rd., west of Marsh Rd. Cost: donation of food or new toys. To benefit Old newsboys. 810-765-9717
